Can there be a way to embed the content or problem in more of a narrative that leads the learner to post out to a Web 2.0 app of some sort?

Could a character that is not currently in the learning environment have an online journal or way of communicating with learners? Could learners post from within SL?

Forgive the baby pics, but Animoto has possibilities! Students can access previous Flickr pics and rapidly create something really groovy to augment a more reflective blog post.
